Dynamic and electrifying, this Raqstar will dizzy you with her

What does it mean? The name refers to a character I created in high school who became more of an
alter ego. She represented an inner strength and awareness I wanted to find for myself, and I began to
find that through bellydance.
What is your favorite thing about belly dancing? I like that, while it's a timeless dance, it exists today
in many different forms. It has artistic and social elements, and allows people of all ages and sizes to
participate. It's a serious art not to be taken lightly, but at the same time, it's a heck of alot of fun. I also
like shimmies. And spinning.
What else should people know about you? I'm a huge fan of the arts in general; I play several
instruments and also enjoy visual arts. I also have three rats, one fluffy dog, and I think sunflowers are
one of the best things going.
